Citizens Police Academy
Are you a resident of McKinney, Texas? Are you looking to make a difference in your community? Do you have at least 7 hours/month to donate to volunteering? Are you looking for some excitement? Then you've come to the right place! Taking applications for Spring 2022 now.

Application Requirements:
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements: (a background investigation will be done)

Be a citizen of the United States of America.

Be at least 21 years of age.

Be of good moral character.

Be free from felony conviction.

No Class A or B misdemeanor convictions within the previous two years.

Successfully complete a background investigation.

Exemplify integrity, loyalty, professionalism, and leadership.

Possess and maintain a current and valid Texas driver's license.
-
Possess and maintain valid vehicle liability insurance.
-
Agree to act as an unpaid volunteer for the City of McKinney, Texas.

Sign a release of liability for any personal or property damage.

Provide emergency contact information.

Maintain internet and email access.

Commit to 80%+ attendance of the 14 week program.
